The historic building of the University of Barcelona is located on Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, opposite Plaça Universitat, and was declared a national historic-artistic monument on February 26, 1970. For nearly a century, it housed most of the city’s faculties and university schools, divided between the Arts Courtyard and the Science Courtyard. Today, it is home to the Faculties of Philology and Communication, and Mathematics and Computer Science.

Mundet Campus, University of Barcelona

The Mundet Campus of the University of Barcelona began its activities with the firm belief that it could offer the university community highly favorable study conditions, along with a wide range of cultural, leisure, and recreational activities.

Its educational, research, and service facilities have been entirely designed to provide the necessary communication systems for a fully satisfactory university experience.

Located within the Mundet enclosure, the campus covers 14.21 hectares, 6 of which are forested, and features 60,868 m² of built-up area.

Its immediate surroundings—namely the Collserola mountain range—and the spacious internal garden areas make it a privileged space.

On this campus, approximately 10,000 users, including students, faculty, and administrative and service staff, coexist with educational centers of the Barcelona Provincial Council and the sports facilities of the Barcelona City Council.
